A Busy Day in the Mission

Today was a very full day.

We had our usual office duties at the PAO.   Then after work we met  at Sister Andrews home in Auckland to do some family history work with folks from the Auckland Ward FH workshop class.  (Sister Andrews is our ward consultant who coordinates the class).  The way the workshop is designed is to have small groups get one-on-one help to build a basic family tree and find a family name to take to the temple, with a new group starting each month.  There simply is not enough time during the Sunday School portion to do all the hands on work people need to really learn how to navigate FamilySearch, so Sister Andrews has been kind enough to open her home to do some additional support for those needing more help.

We were there from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.  After that we headed over to Redoubt stake to meet with a group of leaders who are planning a big family history event for August that we will be helping with.  That discussion went very well with lots of good ideas being suggested.

This is the group from Redoubt Stake that we trained last April.
Several of the same people were there at tonight's planning meeting.

By the time we got home it was nearly 10:00 PM and we were pooped!  It is a good kind of tired to be anxiously engaged in doing this work.
