Our appointment at the Gore Family History Center was not until this afternoon, so we took some time this morning to go see the bottom coast of the South Island at Bluff. There was blue sky when we first arrived, but before long that famous "long white cloud" came rolling in and it began to rain a bit, but not enough to deter us. We have now officially been completely from one end of the country to the other. We truly have had some amazing experiences.
We hiked for a while along the coast trail, reflecting on the many blessings this mission has brought to us. We have seen so much beauty and met tremendous people who have warmed our hearts. We've grown closer together as a couple and definitely grown stronger in our faith. There have been some big sacrifices and it has not always been easy. Still, serving as Senior Missionaries has been such a defining experience for us both. We have witnessed miracles and felt a greater love for the people we have served with than we ever would have dreamed possible. We will forever be grateful for this time, for this place, for these people. It's hard to believe that it is almost over.
